These Sunday Thoughts want Spring Break to last a little longer …
1. It isn’t comforting when your daughter is headed home from college and texts you to say that she will be there soon because she’s on the “big, fast road.” ![]()
From now on maybe she will simply call it “the freeway.”
2. Someone should invent bathroom scales that automatically subtract 10 pounds from your weight on your birthday. ![]()
3. Our grandparents and parents modeled and taught us to “make do.” I sure hope we can help the next generation to learn to “make do” also. It seems to be a lost art nowadays. ![]()
4. A day with family, good food, and sunshine sure can warm the soul. ![]()
5. A solid book digs a furrow in the mind and plants seeds for future thoughts and dreams. ![]()
6. This week, try to pray slowly, with long pauses between sentences … ![]()
7. Here’s a short verse that’s long on truth:
Psalm 9:10 “And those who know your name put their trust in you, for you, O LORD, have not forsaken those who seek you.”
-The more you know God in Christ, the more you will trust Him.
– The more you trust Him, you can walk by faith more consistently and seek Him.
– The more you seek Him, the more you will know He is always with you.
8. This week, whatever you encounter has been allowed by God to occur. So, asking “why?” is normal, but rarely helpful. Asking “what are you teaching me about yourself, God?” is rarely said, but it is very helpful. ![]()
Have a good week Friends! ![]()
