Sunday Thoughts

February 13th 2022

This small bouquet of Sunday Thoughts might need some water … they look a little wilted. 🥀

1. Only a cat would hop onto the bed, plop down on your chest, and flick its tail back and forth across your face. 🐈

2. Math in our house looks like this: 👇🏼

➕ 14 different sets of nail clippers + 4 sets of tweezers = zero available

➗ 24 chocolate chip cookies divided by 5 people = 8 per teenager

✖️ The number of hobby toys a man can have = (number of pairs of ladies’ and girls’ shoes in the house + the number of scented candles in the house) DIVIDED by (the cubic feet of the refrigerator your wife wishes she had multiplied by the number of rings and necklaces on the each dresser). 😬

3. Yesterday, our kids came up with new, potential settings for shower heads:

– Firehose: rinses you off in 3 seconds, and exfoliates

– Sprinkler: rotates around getting every angle

– Kid with a water hose: sprays soft, then hard, then soft, and rarely hits you

– Noah’s ark: dumps a massive amount of water on you at once

4. A Valentine’s Day bouquet that Jami will never forget was in 2013. It was a lovely arrangement of her favorite flowers. The card was poignant and practical, it accurately shared what was in my heart on that Valentine’s Day. 🌹💐🌹

It simply said:

Dear Jami,

Can you believe these flowers cost $75?

Love,

Jody

5. With Valentine’s Day around the corner, here’s a point to ponder:

Our society portrays love as a tingly feeling designed to meet our needs. The Bible demonstrates love as an ongoing commitment that grows in character and service to others.

❤️ 1 Corinthians 13:4-7

“Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth.”

There will be people around you this week who need your love, encouragement, and a kind word. Pour it on them! 😊

Have a good week friends! 👍🏼
